Privacy Policy — Click Cat
Last updated: 26 September 2026
Click Cat is a record of how your cat lives, kept for you and for your vet. It is built so that the record stays yours: there is no account, nothing about her is stored on any system of ours, and nothing leaves your phone until you decide to hand it to a vet.
The short version
We do not collect your data and we do not see it. Everything you enter stays on your device and in your own iCloud. The one thing that can leave the phone — her record, when you send it to a veterinary practice you paired with — travels sealed, so only that practice can open it. We cannot read it and we do not keep it.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you create in Click Cat — your cat's profile and photo, the daily record, the signs you note, her weight, diagnoses and medicines you enter, reminders, and the reports a vet sends back — is stored on your device.
If iCloud is enabled, this data also syncs to your own private iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit private database. That is your personal iCloud storage. We have no access to it, and neither does anyone else.
No account, no sign-in
Click Cat has no registration, no login, and no user profile on our side. The name you may enter for yourself is kept only on your device and in your own iCloud, so the app can address you by it.
Sending a record to your vet
You can pair the app with a veterinary practice by scanning the code on that practice's counter. Until you do, nothing about your cat leaves the phone.
When you send her record, it is encrypted on your phone for that practice only, using a key that belongs to them. It passes through a relay server we operate (clickvet.rs) so the practice can receive it — the server stores and forwards a sealed envelope it cannot open, does not index its content, and holds no readable copy. What the practice receives becomes their clinical record, held under their own responsibility; only they can remove it.
Only what you recorded travels — never the app's own reading of it. No warnings, no levels, no interpretation of what a sign might mean is included in what your vet sees.
A report the practice sends back is delivered the same way, saved in the app, and kept in your own iCloud with the rest of her record. You can unpair from a practice at any time in the app.
Camera
Camera access is used for one thing: reading the code on your vet's counter to pair with that practice. Nothing is photographed or stored. Camera access is optional — a code can also be entered by hand.
Photos
If you add a photo of your cat, the app keeps a resized copy on your device and in your own iCloud, so it can show her on her own screen. Photo library access is optional.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders on your device — a deadline coming up, the evening question, a sign that still needs a call to the vet. These are local notifications; no notification content is sent to us.
Advice in the app
The advice Click Cat shows is computed on your device from what you entered, using rules drawn from veterinary consensus. It is not sent anywhere for analysis, and no profile of you or your cat exists outside your phone and your iCloud. The app never names a disease, never gives a dose, and never suggests a treatment.
Purchases
Click Cat Plus is sold through the App Store. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple — we never see or receive your payment details. The app only receives confirmation from Apple that a purchase is active. Subscription management and cancellation are handled in your Apple account settings.
Analytics, tracking and advertising
There are none. Click Cat contains no analytics SDK, no advertising, no tracking identifiers, and no third-party code that profiles you. Nothing you do in the app is measured or reported.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children — because it does not collect information about people at all.
Deleting your data
Deleting a cat in the app removes her record from your device and from your iCloud. Deleting the app removes its local data; iCloud data can be removed from your iCloud settings.
Because we never hold your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request you need to send us. A record already handed to a veterinary practice is that practice's clinical record — removing it is a request to them.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data held about you. Click Cat holds no personal data about you on any system we control, so there is nothing for us to disclose or erase. Your data is in your hands, on your device and in your Apple account.
