Privacy Policy — Click Moments

Click Moments is a personal life log. It is built so that your moments stay yours: there is no account, no server of ours, and no analytics.

The short version

We do not collect your data. We never see it. There is no Click Moments server, so there is nowhere for your data to be sent.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you create in Click Moments — your notes, dates, places, photo references, voice notes and videos — is stored on your device.

If you have iCloud enabled, this data also syncs to your own private iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit private database. This is your personal iCloud storage. We have no access to it, and neither does anyone else. Apple cannot read it either.

We do not operate any server that receives your content.

No account, no sign-in

Click Moments has no registration, no login, and no user profile on our side. The name, date of birth and photo you may enter in the app are stored only on your device and in your own iCloud, purely so the app can show them back to you.

Location

If you grant location permission, the app reads your location only at the moment you save an entry, so it can attach the place to that entry. It does not track you in the background and does not record your movement.

Place names are resolved using Apple's geocoding service. Location permission is optional — the app works without it, and moments are simply saved without a place.

Photos and videos

When you attach a photo, the app keeps its own copy of it (resized to about 2048 pixels) together with a small thumbnail, so that the app lock protects the photo as well. The copy stays on your device and in your own private iCloud — never on any server of ours, because we do not run one. A photo taken inside the app is not written to your photo library.

You are never locked in: you can save any photo back to your photo library, return all of them at once, or export them as files. When you attach a photo from your library, you choose in the app's settings whether the original there is kept or deleted; deleting always requires the system's own confirmation.

Videos are not copied. For a video the app stores only a reference to the item in your photo library plus a small thumbnail.

Photo library access is optional.

Microphone

If you record a voice note, the recording is stored on your device and in your own iCloud with the rest of your data. It is not transcribed, not analysed, and not sent to us. Microphone access is optional and is only used while you are actively recording.

Weather

Weather information shown alongside a moment comes from Apple WeatherKit. To provide it, your approximate location is sent to Apple. This is the only network request the app makes. Apple's handling of that data is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.

Weather is optional and depends on location permission.

Purchases

Click Moments Pro is sold through the App Store. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple — we never see or receive your payment details. The app only receives confirmation from Apple that a purchase is active.

Subscription management and cancellation are handled in your Apple account settings.

Analytics, tracking and advertising

There are none. Click Moments contains no analytics SDK, no advertising, no tracking identifiers, and no third-party code that profiles you. Nothing you do in the app is measured or reported.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children — because it does not collect information at all.

Deleting your data

“Delete all data” in the app's profile screen permanently removes every moment, photo reference and voice note from your device and from your iCloud. Deleting the app also removes its local data; iCloud data can be removed from your iCloud settings.

Because we never hold your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request you need to send us.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data held about you. Click Moments holds no personal data about you on any system we control, so there is nothing for us to disclose or erase. Your data is in your hands, on your device and in your Apple account.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
